Hi all,

New to the site as of today and located in Perth. I have a 2004 model V35 GT 350 coupe and looking at fitting a towbar to the vehicle if it's possible ( preferrebly 2 piece ). Has anyone done this before or have some information that may assist me?

I have spied another post which talks of wiring a socket up for the lights o/p located at the rear of the vehicle to support the lights of a trailor, but not a lot of other details listed.

Cheers

These cars have an alloy rear subframe that was welded by Stevie Wonder.

What are you looking to tow with it?- a little box trailer with occasional garden stuff, or a very SMALL boat, you might get away with it. Otherwise you'll just crack the subframe and be up for $.

If its auto, you then have to look at a cooler. You are better off getting a old ute/fourby to tow and leave the 350 for cruising!

Thanks guys for your replies!

My car is a 2004 Semi-Auto V35 coupe. I want to buy a new jet-ski and really that's all i want to tow with my car. I really dont want a tow bar permanently visible on my car, so i did a bit of looking and there is a company in the states that make a kit for the Infinity G35 which is the kit that will fit my car.

(see link below). Its a two piece kit which means it will still look good when not towing as you can remove most of what is visible on the tow kit for normal driving, cruising etc. The only problem i have now is that etrailer.com WILL NOT send outside of the US and some other related states.

I wish i knew someone in the states that i could have it sent to and then have those people send it on to me. do you guys know of anyone that might be able to assist?

I heard back from Curt Mfg ( the people that make the tow attachment earlier posted. They wont sell direct to me as they are wholesale, but they did suggest to check out one of their retailers who MAY sell to me. I will send a blanket email to the retailers and let you know what i find out.

My link

A point to note also is these Curt hitches designed for V35 coupes are only good for towing about 600 odd Kgs i think (light trailers / jetskis etc)
