Brake Dust

hi guys i have some heavy bulid up of brake dust on my front rims on the dish, tried grease remover, car wash liqued and a sponge with jiff on it mate told me to give it a try lol. None of the above work dont know what else to use with out damaging the polished dish so any ideas would be very helpful thanks

The cheap Import brand wheel cleaner from Autobarn works great for the price. Spray your callipers too.

If you are worried about the polished alloy, try the less agressive acid free ones, but they dont work as well.

i know what u mean. i washed my car yesterday. hit the rims with a gerni and a gooood scrub... still plenty of dust on them - although shitloads came off

armor all wheel cleaner is fantastic! been using it for about 2 years on my chrome wheels and had no problems. roughly $12 a bottle too.

I use FI PWC works very well and been very happy with it.

Give Iron X a try. Spray on, hose off. from waxit.com.au.

pretty simple wipe your wheels down each time u drive it if its not your daily. if it is wipe down every few days

And then get some descent brake pads that dont dust up Been using Bendix Ultimates and dont have any issues with dust.

your bendix ultimates dont dust up? i must be using mine wrong because although they work great, they dust up really quick

and yep I agree the Iron x stuff sounds like an awesome answer brake dust removal...

he did say he has pics of it being used on his website but his shop is empty...

Does anyone know the diff between the gel and the paste, it says the paste will allow it do work over longer time, does that mean it will get even more stubborn brake dust build up off?

Should I get the paste of the gel?

Im yearning for this stuff, Ive got two sets of rims that are freshly powdercoated but have brown haze on them from brake dust....
