If you run a centre muffler it's perfect. I did one on dvs jez drift car the sound that car makes is unreal. I agree with the ecu controll of the flap that would work and not cause issiues.

The Varex valve is a restriction when closed, there is a bypass into the muffler that flows around the valve giving near oem sound levels, even with only a single muffler. You can have the valve anywhere in its travel for adjustable sound levels using the supplied remote fob.

When open its a straight through muffler, up to 3.5 inch.

I decided to mod the 3.5 inch Varex muffler I bought.

I wanted my car quiet until boost kicks in so hopefully this works well. What do you think?

The rev controlled actuator accessory has been discontinued according to Xforce, so this was the best option, otherwise I would have to design a circuit, controlling the Varex motor with the car ecu.

It works, finished the exhaust today and went for a squirt. Its much quieter than the old 3 inch Legalis but the boost ramps slower now meaning the valve is opening too slowly. (even though the turbo spools earlier) I need a very soft spring in the actuator, a 2-3 psi actuator would be perfect but I cant find any. I might buy one of these and modify the spring tension.

Pretty happy with how it turned out, I got the larger pipe tucked up nicely. Hopefully there are some top end gains to be had too once its sorted.

Just a quick update i got my hands on a fairly cheep cat back 3" titanium trust exhaust it has one muffler im pretty happy with the sound on ideal its not much louder but when opened up it sounds real tuff and the raspy sound from the titanium is awesome

My RS*R 3.5 inch cat back is errr quiet when it's turned off haha

Mine was loud when I was just running stock twins with the Trust front pipes, 3.5in decay and the 3.5in cat back (rear muffler only) and stock dumps. Now it's running a single turbo with 3.5in turbo back... With a 2 inch screamer, I'm 24 so I guess I'll get sick of the noise fairly soon lol

Anyone tried the xforce 3.5" cat back systems before? I'm looking at upgrading my 3" and am considering one. They're under $700 and i'm struggling to find anything similar cheaper than that atm.

There was one that I saw come off a 32 GTR (Xforce 3.5in) it was almost as quiet as standard but also had a few nasty restrictions ie centre muffler arrangement. Once they were cut out and replaced with straight pipe the noise level barely rose however performance improved dramatically
