and they did lol... Its called a Siilva Varietta made by Autech.

My mates got a convertible S13 with a 180sx frontend conversion, came from japan with shaved doors with remote hydraulic door openers, dumped to its guts, and the most pimping rims (like the ones you see on old chevy's) ever. Its like all the convertibles were bought by people that were insane about personalising the car.

The S13 convertables have soo much more structural reinforcement tho (Bootspace is halved and the pillars and top of the windscreen are about twice as thick) it weights the car down, and being only available as a 1.8L Auto its a bit restrictive.

I like that car tho, its very tastefully done. Dunno if Prestige ended up bringing the car down.

you learn to live with risbey's wording. I love his all inclusive disclaimer "the car is in good condition considering its age" which means it could have anything from a crusty underbody to immaculate panels.

    • I guess the main advantage is that they start out hard and incompressible, so you can throw them away immediately, rather than waiting until they've done 50k km or something?
    • Has anyone used the billet half-moons that are available to replace the rubber ones at the back of RB cam covers ?  Going to change out my cam cover seals as they are weeping oil and its now driving me nuts. Any advantage to be found ?
    • My muffler was fully customised to suit the car. He mailed me the end caps, I marked up the pipe locations (4 pipes in a single muffler) and he sent it back all welded. Certainly more expensive than a mass produced generic size, but that's hardly surprising. My R32 Exhaust has a Magnaflow muffler in it, if I need generic mufflers then they're usually a safe bet. I've got the Vibrant clamps on the intercooler pipes, just because they're nicer to use than the bolt together ones and not as expensive as a real Wiggins clamp.
    • Yeah. Nah. A grain of sand will take out a ceramic turbine that is doing 100000rpm.
    • Yes, it was checked with the roller rockers installed using a LS7 lifter that had been converted to a solid lifter with a dummy spring at 0 lash with a stock length pushrod. With the Johnson lifters longer pushrods were needed which are now 7.700" and 110 wall. Long thiccbois. People much more knowledgeable than I am are doing the measuring!
