Shaky steering due to braking???

Hi All, I ve got a problem, im not sure if its major or minor but here goes,

My steering wheel shakes heaps when i brake at speeds in excess of 60 to 70 km/h, could this be a result of shyt brake pads???

I know its not coz of the wheel allignment cos it dont happen when im driving, only during braking!

Any ideas???

Hmm two threads same thing...

Your discs need machining. take em off get em machined $40 done. pads are no worries.

warping could be caused by over heating the discs, uneven disc wearing due to imperfections in the material. or just a normal build up of pad material on top of the surface. just to name a few!
