Hi all,

My first post and probably one thats been covered numerous times before. My 33GTRV is running a Turbosmart Boost T manual boost controller and its running about 14psi. It on occasion causes the fuel cut to kick in and I am looking at putting a FCD2 on it to stop this happening. I would think the fuel cut causing detonation at high rpm would be worse on my engine than allowing it to continue fuel flow under boost. The only mods this car has are pod filters, exhaust and Boost T controller and I am looking at running 14psi ONLY which it is currently set to. I know that putting a proper aftermarket ECU etc will be better however I have other cars i'm building at the moment and this when it's time comes will be upgraded to bigger turbo's, cam's, injectors, fuel system etc with the aim of making 350rwkw but for the time being (next 1-2 years) I would just like it driveable and safe on the engine at the times I choose to drive it. Can anyone with previous experience or anyone with reasons that I should or should not do this please advise and the reason why as it's booked in to have it done in the next week so I want to make sure i'm doing the right thing and not risking harm to the engine.

Thanks for your time.

Matthew
