Today my mate bought an s13 with an rb25de neo motor in it, and what I'm guessing a 34 manual box, 4 hours into ownership, the unbelievably low s13 with badly setup coilovers bottomed out, denting in the sump and leaving a gaping hole in it! Luckily we noticed before the motor spun a bearing or anything, so with all the bad news I guess that's the good news, my question is, how hard is it to change the sump in an s13, I'm guessing it's gunna be a pain, but has anyone got any pointers from experience, the idea is to jack the motor up so we can get the cross member off and get to the sump without pulling the motor out, any advice? Or anyone who's done this before would be much appreciated!!! Heartbreaking for my friend, and we wanna fix this problem immediately, going to get a stock 25 sump ( that's what it has now) and gasket tomorrow, just putting it in is the pain. Once again any advice would be much appreciated

Get a Custom bash plate made up to protect your sump and sway bars like this 180SX with RB25DET:

Or be normal and dont have it that low lol.

Either way good luck with your problem.
