You just need to join a game a mate is hosting, head to the chest, and open.

It'll use your key, but you'll be able to open it as many times as you have the patience to do so.

AFAIK, it only works for the guest, not the host, so if they want a go, you'll have to switch places.

Level 45 by the time I got to Wilhelm in play 2.

Finished the first run at 35.

Gaige is a pretty entertaining character. Decent through put for her levels, and DT is a f**king tank, I can see him being insanely useful with the right build. Only problem I see with him is the lack of ability to call him back early.

This.. and also accidentally reloading when intending to interact/travel/buy etc... thus losing all of the built up Anarchy :verymad:

Ha, yeah, that shit me a bit.

Gave anarchy a spin, pretty useful, though after a while it's like throwing a bucket of rice at a ping pong ball 50ft away. Need to experiment with some Hyperion weaponry. It's not bad though, with a triple barrel Jakobs, I could run right up to a BA Bullymong and one shot them.

Gonna re-spec for a support build until level 30ish, and then go for a hybrid high DPS build.

  • 2 weeks later...

Had my first Terra kill the other day, took 3 attempts until he dropped the Commando com, and he dropped the Mecro com on the very next kill. Still chasing the rest of his legendaries unfortunately...

If anyone on Xbox has a Hide of Terra, Breath of Terra, or a shock Conference Call or shock Sledge, and wants a level 50 Pyrophobia in return, shoot me a message on XBL, my GT is scarecrowAU.

Duped, legit, don't care as long as it isn't modded.

Yeah level 31 now with Commando and still is a good challenge and enjoying the game. Dont think i will play through again but definately keen to see further DLC's for it.

Cant beleive i took 3 weeks of annual leave to play this for sometime and some of you guys are on your second way through. In my defence i have completed all but one side quest so far.

Most of my add ons are for the turrent cool downrate, so basically means less time for me to have to wait for the turrent to be used again. Sometimes it is a case of deploying it and running away for it to take care of everything but that only works to a certain level.

I've been lvl 50 with Axton for a little while now, about halfway through his second PT. Been soloing Terra for way too long, picked up a couple legendary items for my troubles, Including a Legendary Soldier com adding +5 to all tier 1 skills, huge bonus for cool down rates, fire rate, and gun damage. It's pretty sweet. Haven't played him in a few days though. Got massively sick of farming.

Side note, anyone thinking of farming Terra, I cannot emphasise enough just how easy a x7 Conference Call and a Bee shield make it.

Up to level 28 first PT with my mechro build. Invested pretty heavily in the Little Big Trouble tree. Should prove rather handy by the time she hits her second, where every enemy seems to have a f**king adaptive shield.

I've got a bunch of free time (hospitality worker), so a lot of that gets dumped into BL2 at the moment, but I'm still yet to see PT 2.5 with either build, yet so many people on the GBX forums have maxxed all 5 characters. Crazy.

Latest patch notes.

Update 1.2.0 (Released 11/13/2012)

  • Fixed fast travel stations from downloadable content sometimes disappearing when loading a saved game.
  • Fixed an issue where players could occasionally be unable to connect to one another if one of them had recently been in DLC that the other doesn't have.
  • Fixed an issue where players were sometimes unable to pick items up after another player had bulk-picked-up a nearby item.
  • Fixed a bug in the inventory UI when quickly scrolling to the bottom of a list using the mouse wheel.
  • Improved PhysX fluid rendering quality at high resolutions.
  • Improved NVIDIA 3D Vision integration.
  • Fixed the "Inverted reverse steering" option not working for clients in a multiplayer game.
  • Fixed the player's backpack sort setting not persisting.
  • Fixed an issue causing players to sometimes crash or freeze after killing Master Gee in the Captain Scarlett DLC.
  • Fixed challenges showing inaccurate completion amounts for area-specific challenges.
  • Fixed a bug where the player's active mission would sometimes fall back to main-game missions when completing other missions in DLC areas.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause players to lose mission rewards that they had not claimed when switching between Normal mode and True Vault Hunter mode.
  • Added a confirmation dialog when opening the golden chest in Sanctuary.
  • Fixed Arid Nexus Badlands showing an undiscovered challenge that was not attainable.
  • Restored some lost progress to players who have had their profiles reset. Repeat this process for each character in your character list.
  • Fixed the Mechromancer's Anarchy skill sometimes losing stacks incorrectly for multiplayer clients.
  • Fixed a bug causing players to sometimes get stuck zoomed in when in "fight for your life" mode.
  • Fixed challenge "For The Hoard!" to work properly after resetting challenges.
  • Fixed a bug that could sometimes cause players' skill points to be reset when loading their character.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause enemies and missions to be locked to an incorrect level.

  • Amplify damage from Amplify Shields is now divided among all projectiles fired from a single shot.
  • Balance adjustments to "The Bee":
    • Increased Recharge Delay
    • Significantly increased Recharge Rate
    • Reduced Amplify damage

[*]DLC raid bosses no longer drop Seraph crystals in Normal Mode.

[*]Reduced level of DLC raid bosses in Normal Mode.

[*]Fixed issue resulting in infinite leveling exploit with Fleshstick.

[*]Increased the health of Terramorphous, Willhelm, and Blue.

    [*]Additional miscellaneous balance tweaks.

[*]Fixed issues with the following missions that could cause players to get stuck or not be able to complete them:

    • Plan B
    • Wildlife Preservation
    • Mighty Morphin
    • Animal Rescue: Food
    • The Man Who Would Be Jack
    • Get To Know Jack
    • Where Angels Fear to Tread
    • Trailer Trashing
    • Clan War: First Place
    • Stalker of Stalkers
    • The Once and Future Slab
    • Home Movies
    • Shielded Favors
    • You Are Cordially Invited: Tea Party
    • (Captain Scarlett) Freedom of Speech

Interesting read on the GBX forums, a lot of the patched bugs are still bugged, and the horrifically nerfed Bee has effectively doubled the tedium of end game farming. Hooray. I think I'll be leaving my console offline for a while...

    • Very decent bit of kit. Definitely black it out I reckon.
    • Because people who want that are buying euros. The people with the money to buy the aftermarket heads and blocks aren’t interested in efficiency or making -7 power, they’re making well over 1,000hp and pretty much only drive them at full throttle  best way to way make money is know your customer base and what they want and don’t spend money making things they don’t want.
    • It's not, but it does feel like a bit of a missed opportunity regardless. For example, what if the cylinder head was redesigned to fit a GDI fuel system? It's worth like two full points of compression ratio when looking at modern GDI turbo vs PFI turbo. I'm pretty reliably surprised at how much less turbo it takes to make similar power out of a modern engine vs something like an RB26. Something with roughly the same dimensions as a -7 on an S55 is making absolutely silly power numbers compared to an RB26. I know there's a ton of power loss from things like high tension rings, high viscosity oil, clutch fan, AWD standby loss, etc but it's something like 700 whp in an F80 M3 vs 400 whp in an R33 GTR. The stock TF035HL4W turbos in an F80 M3 are really rather dinky little things and that's enough to get 400 whp at 18 psi. This just seems unwise no? I thought the general approach is if you aren't knock limited the MFB50 should be held constant through the RPM range. So more timing with RPM, but less timing with more cylinder filling. A VE-based table should accordingly inverse the VE curve of the engine.
    • I've seen tunes from big name workshops with cars making in excess of 700kW and one thing that stood out to me, is that noone is bothering with torque management. Everyone is throwing in as much timing as the motor can take for a pull. Sure that yields pretty numbers on a dyno, but it's not keeping these motors together for more than a few squirts down the straight without blowing coolant or head gaskets. If tuners, paid a bit more attention and took timing out in the mid range, managed boost a bit better, you'll probably see less motors grenading. Not to name names, or anything like that, but I've seen a tune, from a pretty wild GT-R from a big name tuner and I was but perplexed on the amount of timing jammed into it. You would have expected a quite a bit less timing at peak torque versus near the limiter, but there was literally 3 degrees of difference. Sure you want to make as much as possible throughout the RPM range, but why? At the expense of blowing motors? Anyhow I think we've gone off topic enough once again lol.
    • Because that’s not what any of them are building these heads or blocks for. It’s to hold over over 1000hp at the wheels without breaking and none of that stuff is required to make power
