hey all, i'm currently parting out an R32 GTR as it's not worth getting the rest of the car up to the spec of the engine for a track car, i'm considering buying an R32 GTS and transplanting my engine, gearbox and 4wd system into the GTS and am wondering if this has even been done before? i did a search and didn't find a whole lot of info about it, basically i have an engine and drive line capable of 450+ kw at the wheels, but the car i have to put it in isn't up to scratch, wasn't in anywhere near the condition i thought it would be, found a few things that are fine for a street car, but can't be overlooked on the track.

only looking for a track car setup, so if anything need to be modified it isn't a great big problem, just poking the feeler's out, or would i be better off trying to find a hail damaged repairable write off (or something similar) GTR to put my drive line into?

Can't really be done. Unlike the later R chassis cars, the 4WD and RWD 32 chassis are different. The front subframe is completely different and you can't put the 4WD stuff into the front of the RWD chassis. Not without an enormous amount of pain anyway. As suggested above, it's only going to be worthwhile putting your stuff into another 4WD chassis. That means a GTR or a GTS4. The GTS4 would be your only "cheap" option.

cheers
