Quickest And Easyiest Way To Obtain Import Papers

hey guys

what would be the quickest and easiest way to obtain a copy of import approval papers for my r32 gtr ?

i need a copy of some sort so my car can get engineered, blue slipped and then finaly rego'd

Ring DOTARS and ask for a copy. AFAIK, they will send it to you as long as you are the original importer/owner.

what if im not the original importer/owner? which im not as im the 2nd owner in aus?

Call DOTARS and speak to them. If they cannot issue you with a copy of the original as you didnt apply for it, they can issue you with a letter stating that the car has import approval (and quote the VIN and approval number). This will be enough to get it engineered and registered.

i emailed and faxed them all the necessary paper work, one week on still awaiting a reply for them.....

They can be a little slow due to the volume of paperwork they may have at any given time. Might have to give them a hurry up call if it's urgent.

these guys are f*kn hopeless seriously, my name cannot be found in the system, nothing has been entered even though i sent them an email and then faxed everything to make sure it got through, over 1 week ago now !
