Hi Fellas,

I got a set of TE37SL wheels coming next week but just cannot decide whether I should leave the red spoke stickers on, off or go totally alternative and put some all-red Nismo stickers on them.

I'm going to get some custom all-red Nismo stickers and put them in place of the ugly red band ones. Considering Nismo runs the TE37s on some of its cars, Nismo stickers wouldn't be out of the question ah? What do you guys think?

Hi mate, you mean the red Nismo stickers I suggested?

I don't like the standard TE37SL spoke stickers but will leave the TE37SL lip ones.

What you think?

I have SLs on my GTR, there black and i left the stickers off.. they look good without imo, so i have left them and havent really thought about it further....

Yeah helped heaps...the red "condom wrapper" ones for the spokes looks ugly as so I agree with you for leaving out!!! What you think about the Nismo ones but all in red. I might break the mold and give it a shot.

Im not sure how the nismo ones would look? imo if i was to put nismo stickers on, i would do the original white with red 'o', not sure how all red would look?... be interested to see the end result...

what colour SLs are you getting?

Hi mate, I got gloss black 19 inch ones. Have decided - not going to put the SL wrapper stickers on the spokes as I hate them so badly - will be original and go Nismo all-red stickers so be original.

I put the sticker on mine after thinking about not doing it because they make them different to all the copies out there you can always tell they are the sl .:yes:post-22701-0-68173600-1330651031_thumb.jpg

I agree with you that they're the latest and greatest etc, but I just hate them so much so I think I'm going to go stickerless or Nismo red stickers.

I'd have them both on or at least the TE37SL sticker where the valve cap is.

Yeah, I'll have the SL stickers on near the Rays wheel stems/cap but just hate the sticker itself.

I'm voting no for nismo or the spoke sticker

valve sl sticker as mentioned is nice

Hi mate, yeah I'll have the TE37SL wheel stem/cap sticker on for sure as they're nice and actually come like that from the factory as I'm told.

But I've decided to put the genuine Red Rays Time-Attack limited edition stickers on the spokes instead. What you think? Tough?

id go the 2 stickers that come with them.

the full spoke in red looks hot.

but, thats my opinion.

in the end, its your car, do what you want.

if you cant decide, pass the rims this way ;)

    • Well, the NA RB25 is nothing special in terms of the amount of power it makes stock, nor with any easy mods like extractors & exhaust, opening up the intake tract, etc, etc. And just like any small capacity NA engine, getting lots of power out of them takes a fair bit of money and, depending on how far you go with big cams and high compression and so on, quite grumpy to drive. So, boost is the answer. Many many many of them have had a turbo added. This is easy enough. Same as for any engine. Need the things you need to bolt on the turbo of choice, fuel system and management upgrades, clutch, stronger gearbox ( you do not want to run a boost RB25 through the NA box), diff, brakes, etc, etc, same as you would for most other NA+T things. Some much smaller number have had a supercharger added instead. These are good and cool, but have nowhere near the potential of the turbo route. All the same required upgrades apply. So, potential? Anywhere from not much to quite a lot, depending on how much effort and expense you want to go to. Is there value in the effort and expense? Objectively, no, there is not. If you're gaining enjoyment and don't mind blowing a lot of money on the project, then that's where the value is. Parts? Nissan dealers for some. Many many on-line vendors who do Japanese manufacturer spares (buy buying them from disposals at dealers around the world, direct from manufacturers, increasingly from Chinese knockoffs, etc) and warehousing them in Dubai or similar places. Amayama, Partsouk, etc etc. There are quite a few. Some local to Australia, some local to Europe, some local to the US. You can upgrade literally everything. For an NA, unless you're going to boost it, there's little point going past a nice exhaust, as I said above. After that (well, actually probably even before that) you should concentrate on making it handle the best it can, good brake components, light wheels and tyres, and just make it something to enjoy throwing through the curves. You'll never, ever win any drag races, so it needs to be taken as a nice point-to-point car. Throw in some Recaros or Brides, nice Momo wheel and gearknob, so it's pleasant to be in (because god knows, the inside of an R33 is not a pretty place!!) and away you go.
    • How many $$$ do you have to slip cams to logbook a car that鈥檚 not the orginal to the 1990 standard lol
    • Thanks for the update I truly appreciate it. I was trying to figure out the sensors.
    • My son recently purchased a 93 Skyline GTS25 (NA), I am hoping to get some insight as to what potential this car has.  I have auto mechanical experience, and I am capable of working on this vehicle, but I know nothing about it.  Where's the best site to purchase parts (maintenance, repair, upgrades)? What kind of upgrades are available?  Thanks again and I look forward to any information that you all have to offer!   Darrick
