So i've misplaced my "Headlight Rubber Cap/Cover" and i think the rain may have drenched my headlights and now its not working.

I'm looking to just get my headlights replaced but I would still need the Headlight Rubber Cap/Cover to stop water from getting in and destroying my headlights again.

Anyone have any idea where i can get them? Junkyard but dont think much Junkyard places would have our car?

Just to give you an idea in case you dont know what im talking about:

And i would try let it dry out but since its going to rain about 25/31 days this month then....

i would recomment you to take your headlights to a junkyard and they might find a replacement item from an other car headlight which might be of same dimensions...just a try wont harm or you might get some good suggestions from them.....specially try the import junkyards...

Keep an eye out on trademe.co.nz They often have parts for v35 skylines when you see one ask for a price etc on the part you need

Get the manufacturer/part # physical size details off the other one & go see your friendly autosparks supplier or Mr Nissan dealer. Shouldn't cost much & is bound to be fitted to a number of vehicle types. I very much doubt the weather cover would be unique to your particular car.

Cheers GW

PS: Ref: lights not working.....Don't suppose you have just blown the headlight fuse(s)?

Couldn't be that lucky I suppose.

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
