sasha021
hi, can anyone explain to me,on the casing of the timing belt on a rb25det there is a round boxy thing , probably like an electric motor to move the timing of the valves for the outlet. Ive noticed mine has a Mitsubishi sign on it . Why did the previous owner put that on ?. Whats it really called ?. I would like to check out the timming belt ,to see if it needs changing 150.000 km dont know if its been done or not. thanks to anyone that can help out Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/393549-elekttimming-4-outlet/ Share on other sites
Cowboy1600
I assume you mean this thing? If so, that's the Cam Angle Sensor. It sends a signal to the ECU so the ECU knows where the cam is during it's rotation. It's likely that it's made BY Mitsubishi, not made FOR a Mitsubishi. Mitsubishi make lots of electrical parts for other manufacturers as they are more than just a car builder. It doesn't need replacing unless it's broken. If your car is running fine then it's not broken. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/393549-elekttimming-4-outlet/#findComment-6259914 Share on other sites
