Hi all, According to the guy who did my last safety inspection I'll probably need to replace the front two shocks to pass next time.

Looking to get some idea of what I'm up for - I've heard of people on other boards paying up to $450NZD per side for the fronts and I'd really rather not spend that much if at all possible. I'm in New Zealand but I guess Australian prices are still reasonably relevant.

As I understand it the US market Infiniti G35 is essentially the same car and looking at US Websites it appears parts are much cheaper over there - does anyone know whether they're compatible with our Japanese markets cars?

Hi Andrew, I am looking for 2 front shocks for a 03 coupe. Hows the ride quality with these KYB? are they noticeably stiffer than stock?

On ebay I can see 2 types which is coupe with sports suspension and without. So which ones would suite our v35??

Regarding the link above they offer shipping through BONGO. Did you get your shocks shipped via them ?? how much was shipping if you don't mind me asking.

Thanks.

Similar ride to stock.

No idea, but I assume the sports version would be firmer.

No idea on shipping - never heard of Bongo - it was so long ago I have nfi how they were shipped (or how much it cost), but assume it was through UPS.

Thanks Andrew. One more question. what springs are you using with KYB? I was thinking to use Z springs with them.....

I did my front two shocks about a month ago myself. Paid about $400NZD all up for both the shocks and the set of spring compressors to do it. Took less than an hour to do the whole job. :D

Just rocked up to repco and gave them my plate number and they had the parts 3 days later.

If your budget is a bit lower, you can buy a full set of used (low KM) 350z shocks and springs for around $250 if you do some searching. most have under 50,000km when those guys upgrade. doesnt mean they'll be better than a new set, just comes down to personal preference
