Locked Steering Help!

Hey guys,

I put my C210 dash back together after resto (pics to come soon in separate thread). Went to fire her up and steering lock is stuck.

I spent a good hour trying to get the turn on the ignition. I tried both sets of keys, wiggling the steering wheel. wiggling the key, damn near wiggled everything and nothing.

Reading up its either the steering lock is jammed or my barrel is toast and won't take the key seeing this happened out of the blue I'm hoping its the Jammed steering lock as I don't want to go about finding a new barrel.

Look in the service manual is says I have to drill out the screw holding the steering lock in place as the screws have had the heads removed.

Before I do that I was wondering is anyone had any other options or had this happen to them.

Use a hacksaw to cut a slot into the top of the bolt and undo it with a blade screwdriver. Done this on a few different cars, never had it fail.
