Morning guys,

Just wondering if someone can recommend a good workshop/ auto electrician in Canberra that can install a Viper alarm into my car- hopefully someone who has dealt with R33's before.

I currently have a Brant alarm in my car and it is absolute rubbish- i ordered a Viper system to replace it with and would like to get it installed ASAP

(The immobiliser has left me for dead more times than i can remember!)

Thanks in advance!

Hope you obtained the Viper 855XV

It's the only one which has received Aust Certified Approval (according to some insurance companies) - whereas, other models still await certification up till a couple of months ago.

I don't need you to reply to this on an open forum.

#855XV is one of the best tho'

And Welcome to SAU :action-smiley-069:

If you have had a turbo timer installed AFTER youtr Brant alarm it can make things a bit screwey...

Make sure you specify to the installer if a timer is installed, and what features etc you want straight from the start... altering parameters later on has potential to leave you stranded...

Good advice!

Thanks guys :)

Ive been doing a bit of research on the forums (since my car has an idle problem too) and sadly it seems like my alarm might not be the culprit for my car starting troubles.....

Ive found a few articles that suggest that an old fuel filter, dirty air regulator, atmospheric BOV, ageing coilpacks, dirty AAC Valve could all be attributing to this.

Just ordered a plumb back BOV and will be buying a new fuel filter (Probably from Repco) for a bit of DIY this weekend- but it looks like i'll be spending a bit of money on the car these next few weeks

in order to get it going reliably :(

Arghhhhh!!!

Thanks guys :)
