Had a play on the weekend and this is how it went.

Locate Buzz Box - its the whitish box above the fuses by the drivers knee.

Unscrew and unplug the unit. Unclip the ends and pull out the circuit board. It looks like this.

The black circle in the top left is the buzzer.

Next get the plug on the vehicle side and undo/slide down the clip holding the wires in tight. Now look for the red wire with black stripe as pictured and pull it out after releasing the wires holding clip.

I folded the wire back on the loom and taped it up with electrical tape.

The reversing buzzer is now disconnected.

To muffle the buzzer for the door open and lights on i stack a piece of velcro over the buzzer as shown below.

Reinstall everything and the job is done.

Just does the reversing beep, but with the buzzer muffled it is quite difficult to hear - lower pitch and quieter. All you need to do is find out which wire is only live when the door is open with key in and disconnect it too. Test everything is OK then put it all back. It was quiet enough for me not to bother with the other things that make it beep. As for the beeping bothering me - yes a little, but I knew others didnt quite like it and I was bored so...

i remove my beeping by carefully removing the solder on the board and the speaker just comes out.

Hope that doesn't stuff that board up if so i can put it back on easy
