Has anyone found the power/torque limit of one of these? I know the competition model has a rating of 780 ps but that could be conservative. I've have never heard of someone saying 'upgrading to a triple because this can't hold my power'

Rebuild kits are worth about $1,000. Then labour to redo it all. Unless the clutch is $200 it wouldn't be worthwhile IMO.

RHDJapan they are about $800+ delivery for the rebuild kit.

+1 for being an awesome clutch. I have the competition model and couldnt be happier.

Has been behind my 422kw gtr for 2 years now and has had numerous 8000rpm launches and still hasnt missed a beat.

You wont regret buying one

They're $1850 on rhdjapan, add $187 for shipping ($2040 all up).

Although that's no guarantee you won't get strung by import taxes as jesse streeter pointed out to me:Q. Does the final price include VAT or any import tax?

A.

We are a registered company here in Japan and cannot charge these taxes. Please familiarize yourself with your local import rules and regulations to see if there are any other taxes when you get your items delivered to your door.

Catch 22 with the import duty.

1) You can ask them to write a lower value on the import declaration (illegal and customs are not stupid, they have internet too) and say its value is under $1,000

but you always run the risk that it may go missing via shipment and best you can be insured for the lower amount they have valued it at.

or

2) Run the gauntlet, insure it to full amount (very cheap via Japan post) and hope you dont get pinned for taxes.

Import duty will always be a hit and miss affair, basically a 50/50 chance you will have to pay unless its de-valued but if they pick that then item is seized and they will ask you to pay duties they deem are due.

Whatever you do they are brilliant clutches.

ive never paid import duty on anything, have ordered alot of things of value and never paid any extra.

have never asked for any special prices to be put on packages or anything like that

I know there's lots of people who have not paid a thing but there's lots that have got stung but like I said its a hit and miss affair.

Customs are cracking down as more and more people turn to the internet to do their shopping.

How easy things go through depands a hell of a lot how goods are packed or repacked n the first place. E.g nice plain box.

Rhdjapan usually make prices so they are under a grand as the ship alot to Australia

I had nismo clutch and project mu rotors and pads and on the invoice it showed the total to be 64000 yen

So they do help you out

And the price you paid seems right for the comp spec clutch

The other price mentioned seems more likely for the std spec

Product Note:

?Because of the design and manufacturing processes made to create the improved clutch response provided by the sports clutch disc and lightweight flywheel and increased output, it is possible that the transmission or bearings may transmit a rumbling noise, compared to genuine Nissan parts. Transmission or gear noise is particularly likely to occur at idling or when accelerating or decelerating from the area around 2000rpm; however, this has no effect on quality or performance.

?The rattling sound which is characteristic of six-speed manual transmissions, Getrag-equipped vehicles and S15 6-speed manual transmission vehicles, has been proven in actual vehicle testing to be reduced through the use of the G-max.

?Do not use with a big operating cylinder, which may result in a misshift due to insufficient stroke volume.

?Heavy pedal operations will result, due to high pressure settings. Not recommended for general-purpose use.

?To improve the operation of this clutch, please refrain from excessive half-clutch operation (although the clutch does have good half-clutch characteristics).
