Hi guys,

I have a very occasional problem with my '94 R32 GTR; Every once in a while, a firm takeoff (not ridiculous clutch dump, just spirited) will result in massive clutch slip. Putting the clutch back in then releasing cures it.

I could do a few 5,000rpm launches in 4wd with no problem, but a 3000rpm RWD take-off might give a slip. Additionally, the occasional slow takeoff (such as reversing out of the garage) will give a weird, loud noise. Again, clutch in then out again fixes it.

I haven't pulled the car apart yet, but it supposedly has a Nismo twin plate. It's definitely a pull type setup.

It was suggested that it could be the stock pivot ball bending, and clutching in/out readjusts the hydraulics, thus working again for a while. I know very little about the pull-type clutch setup, but from what I have seen, there is no pivot ball available for them.

Does anyone have a clue what is going on here? Free beer to whoever gets it!

Cheers,

-Luke
