Swapping Out R33 Active-Lsd...

So I just bought a series 2 r33 gtst and it has an active-LSD. Tried it out in the wet the other day and it is really unpredictable, sometimes it locks up but most of the time it doesnt.

Im going to try bleeding it as per the instructons on this site, but if im still not happy with it Id like to know if its possible to just swap this thing out for a mechanical LSD or locker or something...

Any ideas on what the best option is? can I put a standard LSD in and shim that or should I use a Kaaz centre, is it even possible?

It should be trivial to swap the whole housing out for one that has a mech diff in it. You may end up with fault codes from the A-LSD control system not having half its stuff connected to it though.
