So much vitriol over such a non issue....:P

The only way to definitively compare one car to another is to have them at the same spec/mod level. It's pointless saying "my Paseo will whip your S-coupe!" (or for Ghostrider "my Renault Dauphine will whip your Karmann Ghia!" :) ) unless both are totally stock or both have identical mods.

John's car is not a Zed, but a heavily modifed version of one. Line up a stock Z32 against a stock R33 and you have a relevant starting point.

NAILING A ZED!

Merli,

Can we stop hurling abuse at each other and talk fact.

Your NEGATIVE & subsequent dick swinging & impressing 14 year old girls comments, set the mood for my posts.

I have since been advised that your motivation was the defence of a mate.

It has also been established by some! that I may not fit into the generalised category of MOST on this forum and for the exercise, let's just consider me an equal to John's driving experience and talent.

John boasts that his Z32 has 345 rwkw, but his approx weight is 1640 kg with a drag coefficient of 0.32.

If you take a Skyline weighing approx 1215 kg, a drag coefficient of 0.37, it is 35% lighter with a similar drag coefficient and therefore only needs 225 rwkw to do the same task.

If the lighter Skyline has similar or better brakes, and about 245 rwkw and has an equal driver, it is VERY likely that it will lap consistently quicker than the Z32, at least on paper.

Hence my comment on it not needing a GTR to beat a Zed
