ok so I just got a wheel alignment done today at bob jane and found out that the camber on the front passenger side is out. the results were -2.04 front passenger and 0.42 front driver. I was told to take it to a suspension place to get it properly looked over. Before I take it there does anyone know what could possibly be causing this or what may need replacing? I know its hard without looking but I'll try explain the best I can. strangely enough I also get a metal on metal knocking noise from that side when going over bumpy roads and pulling into driveways. The noise has been there for at least 6 months and is driving me nuts and I think it may be related to the camber being out so much on that side. The things i've replaced recently: front passenger wheel bearing, new bc br coilovers, new whiteline swaybars (front & rear) along with swaybar links and d-link bushes and hardrace traction rods. I've looked under the car multiple times now and can't visibly see anything bent or loose. I've been told by a workshop that its not the tie rods or tie rod ends. Also when doing around 80kms I can hear almost like a ticking noise coming from that side as well when driving near road barriers as the sound is amplified. seriously I feel like taking a torch to the car sometimes lol Any suggestions guys? its an r33 gtst. thanks

Possibly one of the bushes in the upper arm is f**ked on that side, but bob Jane should have told you if there was any movement because of that, if it were the case though

It's hard because those stock upper arms are a fixed thing, there is no adjustment in them so it should be the same either side

So it can really only be a f**ked bush or a bent upper arm

Or a bent lower control arm could also affect camber, suspension is such a flamin mongrel - last issue I had felt like a bent tie rod it turned out to be tyre wear...

Hello? Alf Stewart? Is that you?

But I agree. The chances that this is not caused by a collapsed upper arm bush are less than 10%.

Also, don't get a wheel alignment at a Bob Jane store. Your chances that the guys there know what they're doing is also less than 10%. Find a decent suspension shop and talk to the alignment guys there for maximum happiness.
