Thats what i was worried about with the bigger front bar, anyway i have heaps to spend on the car before i even look at cosmetics.... I am a fan of look but it would all need to be done properly which money does not allow for now

Where can someone buy the ursas kit for a sedan?

Im only interested in the front bar and bonnet lip. Do they fit to stock fenders?

I'm also running a s2 sedan (with the ugly front bar) will it be a problem at all fitting?

The genuine one from URAS will fit S2 sedan.

Viva Garage is hit and miss, some is good while some is plain crap. But what would you expect?

Basically all 'copy' kits will require trimming, fitting and modifying to fit. Some more than others. There's been heaps of threads on it, but unless you're going to import a genuine kit than don't expect it to be an off the shelf fit, even of someone else's was.

doesn't sound like he works there at all. that man speaketh the truth.

the fibreglass copies have huge amounts of play in them. if anything you should expect them not to fit and require modification.

atleast yours was 15mm over and not under. easier to just trim off the ends than to cut the middle and re-bond

I have purchased kits from justjap in the past and no modification was required

Viva garage just sell rubbish

Do u work for them? Cause it sounds like it

Don't know what you're issue is with what I said. Sounds like you're after OEM fitment but don't want to pay up for it.

Yeah but mate look at the difference in price, Jetspeed, Viva Garage, Carmate all these places are fibreglass copies that retail for what? Anywhere between say 250-450ish. For replica bars, lets now take a look at the cost of a GENUINE bar:

DO-Luck front bar for a GTST:A$ 1,081.08 (before shipping)

Jun Aero front bar for a GTST:A$ 1,226.76 (before shipping)

BN full kit for a GTST: A$ 2,350 (before shipping)

Full DO-Luck kit: A$ 2,883.78 (BS)

I'm not trying to get into a massive debate with you here, but I think you'll find you've either underestimated the cost of the real items vs the cost of replica items, or you've simply got your head in the sand. I've had a Jetspeed front bar, as well as Viva Garage and to be honest I reckon that the VG items were of equal quality to the Jetspeed bar (Melbourne). Both these items required trimming and a bet of prep work to get them to fit but I expected that and that's what goes with using 'off the shelf/replica' items. It's no different to people who use Chinese manifolds/freddy plenums etc and then wonder why they're not a true 'direct bolt-on' replacement.

Was looking at getting a viva garage front bumper but from the feedback ive decided to look into getting the URAS one off nengun.

Just curious how much does it cost to paint and fit a front bumper?

    • It's the adhesive holding the ceramic wheel to the shaft the fails on 90% of them.
    • Foreign debris, physical shock, boost leak, could be anything honestly. The danger in taking all the timing out of a tune/hitting the R&R corner is that even if the engine doesn't detonate your turbo is taking a lot of abuse from high EGT. Also, even if nothing goes wrong it is a journal bearing that is spinning at 100k RPM on boost. Eventually it goes through enough cold start/pressure cycles to wear it out.
    • I kinda accidentally saw this, and was interested, but It actually seems to replaces the whole center computer, using the existing screen and buttons. AND it may only be for a G37 and not compatible with a Japanese 370. So its not for me, but someone else may be interested to look into it. Its about $680USD. If I am understanding it right, it basically replaces/installs and android pc that integrates with the existing screen. But I could be wrong. https://gromaudio.com/vline/ The video I first saw was the following, with very little and unclear details.     Even if your not interested in the system, the video on their site was pretty comforting in showing how simple the whole centre comes out
    • hfygrte52 what side you looking for? Do you care what color car it's off? Found a white LH side on here: https://skylinespares.com.au/product/nissan-skyline-r33-coupe-rear-tail-light/   Aussie parts place but will ship to USA. Maybe get it before there's a tarrif on 25yo shit box parts
    • I’m with Shannon’s for all 5 of our cars. Agreed values seem fair, premium price is okay. ($210 ish a month, all comprehensive).  Have claimed once with them for a not at fault claim with another car where my car had no damage. Was one call after the incident and an email after. Deemed not at fault so premium didn’t go up either.    I have called up and spoken with people who are not familiar with certain cars and didn’t agree with me on value or let their personal vehicle preferences effect the call. But called back later and got someone else who was more agreeable.
