Spraying With Flake

Hey,

I'll be respraying my car in a month or so. I'd like to use this flake http://www.paintwithpearl.com/flakes/purple/purple.htm

My goal is to have the entire car in this colour. Should I go with a black base and load the flake until it covers it, or would it be better to find a base that's closer to that purple? I thought maybe Plymouth in-violet or mopar plum crazy metallic. But I'd like a finished colour that's closest to that of the flake, and not the base.

There it says you should use black base coat if you want it to take on the colour of the flakes
