Where To Get The Stag Serviced?

Recommended Posts

Howdy,

New to the forums & stagea world so a quick hi! Have a quick question though...

Recently bought a C34 S2 1999 Stagea (I want to marry it btw) and it's due for it's first service, currently at 78,800 - was 72,000 odd when I bought it.

Before this I had a granny spec 1992 Corolla that was handed down to me which would never die & a dream to service but not willing to touch the Stag till I know it inside out & plus don't have a garage or time to do it so no option there.

So, was wondering where in Melbourne (South & Eastern suburbs preferred) is a good place to get the old girl serviced with guys who know Nissans/imports like the back of their hand?

One more thing, I've noticed that if I park the Stag on an incline so the LHS of the car is down compared to the RHS with about 25k's left in the tank it will just not fire. But if I jack the LHS up, the lines seem to get some fuel & start from there... Is there a hole in my tank, vacuum leak, the fuel pickup shifted/not down enough or is this just something I've gotta live with & always leave more juice in the tank?? Kind of annoying seeing as there's a petrol station literally across the road from my street!

Thanks y'all

Cheers

Dave

what do you mean by the "full kitchen sink one"?

you mean timing belt etc.?

what exactly needs doing?

Yeah timing belt, full tune + new o2 sensor, 4 new tyres (lots of tread on mine atm but cracking around the outer bead causing some unpleasant movement at higher speeds), wheel alignment, auto trans fluid change and a couple of other minor things.

Does anyone know if JS have moved or liquidated?

Cheers

For Melbourne South East area:

I've found Rob at Sabbadin Auto to be quite honest, competent and helpful.

http://www.sabbadinautomotive.com.au/garage.php

They've got a dyno there and do some fabrications of exhausts and stuff. I think he specialises in rotary engines and turbo builds.

He's really good at chasing down info and parts which comes in handy when you come up against a less than straight forward problem.

Hey Andrew,

thanks for that will give Rob a call. Haven't had to drive much lately as been overseas on work & now working from home for a couple of weeks but when the next pay cheque is the bank, will get all this shit sorted!

Cheers all

Thanks Andrew. sabbatical auto is near my place I'll give him a try Friday after work. Hopefully he might be able to help me with my side skirt problem

Dave I contacted John (Js auto) they have moved around the corner but after Wat I heard bout JS Autos I don't think I'll be taking my car there anymore.
