Hmm ok. That does look a lot lighter then the momo steering wheel option.

There was a couple of options for woodgrain. The options catalogue in this post has them:

Ahh cool, I hadn't seen that. And I finally can see my suspension is a Nissan option upgrade. Wish I knew what it said about the suspension. Also it's good to see I literally have every option I would have wanted from that book.

Little bit over two weeks to go. Getting excited but very nervous at the same time.

Gathering the stuff ready in two crates ready. Just have to buy oil and filter and im set.

Big thanks to Travis (one of the few non Vtards) who found me the missing bits of trim for my.option momo that someone on here sold me and has not been helpful at all. I think some of you know who it is.

Also looking for the woodgrain door grab trim strips. Would also be keen on a black leather/woodgrain gear shifter to match but not fussed.

Good to hear you found the pieces for your wheel mate.

In Aaron's defence, he's not actually on this forum; nor has he ever been.

When he stripped the car, his father kicked him out of his home, and had the partially dismantled car removed by Simsmetal and immediately destroyed.

I'm not saying you shouldn't feel hard done by; but I can assure you, he had far more important things to worry about than some covers for your steering wheel.

If he'd had the pieces, I believe he would have given them to you.

He is a stand-up guy, and a good friend of mine.

Glad to hear it's getting toward the end, you must be pumped.

Would have been nice of he told me that the covers were missing to begin with. Otherwise i wouldnt have bought it.

I asked him for the VIN or any form of identification of the car so i could goto nissan and get the parts.

Dont get me wrong hes a nice guy the emanage was a complete steal and im happy but the whole steering wheel thing wasnt right.

But hey whats done is done

Yes there are two different colours of "woodgrain" the lighter and more common tan colour and there is a dark chocolate almost black colour which i am yet to see in the flesh.

I rang nissan for all four trims and shifter ans it came to about 900. Got onto amayama and it was 476.

Getting pretty pumped!

The part numbers might be on the back of the hand grabs...

Also If you get a VIN with the optioned parts and put them into epcdata you might find the option.

*EDIT* I had a quick look could only find http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/03-04-05-Infiniti-G35-door-panel-wood-trim-grip-handle-/230775342365

Which I believe is only half of what you need :(. epcdata showed f**k all.

I asked for the model code and VIN of the car the wheel came off with no luck. But im sure many of you have seen that gold 2004 arx that can not be complied om ebay atm. It has a momo wheel, he put a picture up of the build plate and from that i rang Lake macquarie nissan here in newcastle with unable (or to lazy to use google translate) i rang hornsby NIssan and they gave me a rough quote of 900 for all four trims and shifter posted to aus. Was provided with part numbers and went on amayama and got quoted 476 without postage.

But josh the ones you linked us too i found on import monster which are for 47 so they will be getting watched closely.

Ha looks like there are 3 different colours.

Maybe get a set of these; it'll draw peoples attention away from the dogs balls.

    • Oh wow, it's easy to forget how cheap these can be. Probably the cheapest way to travel. Though people in cars here tend to be morons and I would not feel very safe. Were scooters ever big in Australia? It used to be the thing growing up in Europe ~20 years ago. 50/70/125ccm Peugeot or Yamaha and some others. Utterly obnoxious Polini race exhausts. Kick stands that slant as much as possible. So loud. So much noise for really not moving very fast at all. But it felt cool at the time. Not sure where I'm going with this, but there is an aftermarket for mopeds! Though I'd have pictured you more for a Goldwing kind of guy after growing out of the Harley.
    • You need to know I am sorry for this.
    • As the MX5 isn't apparently "manly" enough, and I need something for runs to the local shops, and also take to my part time job at the salon, basically I can keep the MX5 away from car parks and stuff......like "flying lockers", I was wondering what I could buy to fix this issue LOL, I pick up a new Yamaha 125 Delight this arvo from Trooper Lu, basically a R1 that you can fit a slab of beer on between your feet, also, it was $29400 cheaper than a R1, so actually it's 2 x better than a R1
    • Nah. H2S. H2S is "rotten egg gas", which is what is associated with no cat. SO2 is equally nasty, and if you've ever smelt it you'll know all about it. More of a choking, acid in the back of the throat sort of thing. But you can only smell it in a narrow range up to about 1ppm. Above that, it irritates your mucous membranes, but you don't smell it.
    • Kicked the 34 in the guts, she won’t be seeing the road till I get the 31 mobile again.  wont be long and she’s a bit of a garage princess anyway haha
