From what I understand the seller is being overly cautious. The coilovers would only be prohibited if the compressed gases pose a risk of explosion.

Are they a refillable type - ie can the seller release the gas and then you refill it when you get them? Or can you wait a while and have them sent by surface mail (will be pretty cheap this way too).

Surface mail as in by boat right? Because that what i asked for and the seller said no...

They are tein super streets... do you know if they are re fillable, my understanding is they are but its very expensive??

Surface mail is Land/Air so technically no go.

Sea Post..it all goes in a container on a boat !!

If your dealing with a Japanese seller then as Roach says he will be over cautious..trust me , he will be at the post office dripping sweat, stammering when trying to post that staff will think he has a bomb in the box.
