How about we start with - why do you want GTR cams?

What set-up does the car have? etc etc.

Lot of trouble/expense for... Not a lot. Infact user: Roy put in GTR cams and took them OUT if memory serves me correct and the lil RB20 didn't go well with them for the 260rwkw marker

Im not saying I know it all but in my opinion and I'm sorry if its harsh,it will be a waste of time and money. I have seen this done quite a few years ago with r32gtr cams into a rb20d s14 and for the amount of money vs time you will put into it you will be better off going aftermarket or just stick with stock ones..Sorry it's not a positive post thumbsup.gif

Yes they bolt straight in, yes you get a small gain in midrange torque. Very small.

Downside is damage to lifters at high rpm due to the ramp rate on a hydraulic lifter

Many people have done it. I haven't heard anyone complain. I have heard a lot of people advise against it but they are usually just repeating what they have heard.

Proper hydraulic cams are definitely better
