BEN 0
Ok guys hope you can help me. I have purchased new from a distributor a xtreme drift clutch. On the website they sell a full kit with flywheel and full release bearing assembly. Now I just bought the clutch and pressure plates AMD assembled then on my standard flywheel. Problem is once the box is fitted and bolts tightened the pressure plate fingers are constantly on the release bearing and the bearing hard against the gearbox. So there is no free play on the clutch fork. Clutch is installed correctly, new spigot, clutch plate right way, correct torque and new release bearing pressed on all the way. Seams the clutch is too long. Does this clutch have to be fitted to their flywheel? Has anyone fitted one without it? If its not the flywheel what else should I look for? BEN 0
Ok rang xtreme today their technician said teir lightened flywheel is the same thickness as standard so clutch should work. He also suggested the release bearing carrier is too long and may be for a twin plate which isn't as long as this clutch. Has anyone had to buy a new carrier? Nissan dealer? What hieght should it be?
