Hi Guys,

Covered this in my introduction thread however I thought it might be more appropriate here.

The engine warning, slip and VDC off light all come on the other day, went to an auto-electrician and the error code was the bank 2 camshaft position sensor. I am assuming it is only the sensor and not an actual engine problem however would it be OK to continue driving the car (almost no kms done since the issue) or would it be wise to wait until the new part arrives.

The car has only been on the road since Thursday, so I would prefer not to leave it in the driveway if it is fine to drive in the meantime.

Thanks in advance

Personally I would unplug the sensor first, that way you can be sure the ECU ignores the sensor, and you don't run the risk of the risk of the ECU acting on incorrect signals from the faulty sensor. And as Scott said, drive it gently until you get the sensor replaced.

You just did, what is your source? S/H? Price?

The ecu is just comparing the signals from the two sensors and seeing a difference between them. I would leave it plugged in too until you replace it.
