So I'm waiting at the doctors to get a medical certificate for work and I just think the process is silly. The last thing I wanted to do today is drive around and be in public when I'm sick, ugh.

Pharmacists are permitted to write such a certificate I believe.

I'm a pharmacist > Now I know why I keep up my registration :P

Oh wait, whilst I put on my mask won't you?

*cough

Can I extend on your analogy and place a trampoline behind said beehive?

Mind you, I'm allergic to amoxicillin penicillin and pretty much any other derivative...I'd rather have ill than illin!

So I've now been sick for two weeks. I finished my antibiotics on Monday. I felt fine on Monday after having the previous week off, so I returned to work. I then started feeling unwell again Tuesday evening. I barely made it through work yesterday and I'm off work today. I don't know what's wrong, flu symptoms with a very chesty cough and a mad headache. I'm catching a plane tomorrow so really don't want to be feeling like this :(

Hope it's temporary.

Normally September is past flu season but doctors think there's a repeat set.

I think though that once the westerly winds start up any day now (in Sydney at least) flus will be done and dusted.

What are your current symptoms and are they noticeably different from the first few days of the flu'?

For instance, are you still running a fever, lower respiratory tract infection, is the phlegm productive...?

Current symptoms are continuous runny nose and even when I blow it's still runny, yellowy mucus, throaty cough, but I am coughing less, feeling lethargic and my voice sounds nasaly. People commented at work that I sound sick.

I had all these symptoms during my first few days of the flu, but I also had a sore throat and I lost my voice for a few days. The main symptom I had during the first few days was painful body aches all over. I also had constant hot/cold sweats and shivering, whereas now I just feel a little hot in the face / forehead.
