Engine Dies After A Few Minutes Running

As topic states, I got a problem with my Ceffy where it runs for a few minutes and then just cuts out and dies. It then wont start again for a while.

Any help on where i could start to look for faults?

I did have recent issues with the fuel pump but I have replaced the pump since with a direct feed to it which runs off a switch (dodgy i know its only temporary).

Hey man, i think i can actually help you out with this 1

Try a different cam angle sensor, its the silver roundish part on the left front of the cam, be make sure to line up the pin when re-fitting.

Or if you cant get a replacement try this, pour some water over the sensor when it stops to cool it down, and if starts quicker than normal, you have the problem sussed

Yeah I would say its ur Cas aswell It has to be a series 1 rb 25 Cas to work

Good stuff, this had me baffled for ages.

I took my car to a auto sparky and he advised he had fixed the problem, after picking up the car and started to drive home the thing stopped on a bridge of all places! So i had it towed and started doing the diagnosis myself. Luckily this was the first thing i tried and still runs purfect haha.
