Yeh I'm thinking about it. Need to get my car going properly again first, but it's something I'm thinking about for the future. If E85 doesn't become available/affordable here then I'll probably go with WMI.

Running 315rwkw, I saw no difference between 375ml and 675ml nozzles, only a bottle that emptied twice as fast.

With the 375ml nozzle, I was able to max out my timing, and that was with a GT3076 and a 0.63 rear housing. If you have a 0.82 rear housing I'm sure that you won't see any gains with the bigger nozzle.

Hmmm yep have a 0.82 rear (GTX3071R). Now I'm confused, I don't want to drain the WM unnecessarily.

have you got a controller ?

as my 5 1/2 L tank dose not empty twice as fast with a controller.

alot of this is trial and error till you find what works for you and your set up running a duty cycle of 7 on the controller works for me which is over 375ml for me at 322kw@820 nm

with a hks 3037 pro s .87

then you have nothing to worry about.

some people use the cheaper stuff and have problems with wastage.

your going in the right direction its not rocket science as some make it out.

its all going to come down to the man who tunes yor car

what set up did you get and what psi pump did you get ?

is it of tps or psi the controller

Thanks GTSBoy, thats some conclusive information right there.

Obviously we wouldnt define that as a change in dynamic compression but it obviously has a similar effect to an increase in dynamic compression. Pushing the piston down as it expands (like increased DCR would).

Hard to define, but this is what I was on about the first time I said it. Its interesting to read that it doesnt expand during compression stroke, as I thought it did.

This is a pretty valuable thread.

Just proved in practise again my thoughts that unless the engine is knock limited there is no gain in wmi.

We lost over 65hp on a 1014hp engine with wmi on - that was with a snow performance kit 50/50 mix. That was on a 434ci chevy v8 with f1 supercharger non intercooled on e85.

It was non intercooled running around 22psi of boost. The measured intake air temp reduction on a 6sec run was around 15degree C at the rev limit. From around 75 to 60degree C. The wmi injector location was at the outlet of the supercharger.

This was a low compression engine (8:1) and was not at all knock limited hence there were no gains with wmi even though the intake temp was reduced by 15degrees.

How much did you inject Rob? Being a 1000hp engine I can see how you would have lost power if you were using a large volume (800cc or so), because as you said ... not knock limited. But a small nozzle pre-supercharger would have given you the air temp drop without slowing down the burn as much.

+1 There is sooooooo much info on the interwebs stating that you do one or the other, just a waste of time to do both.

you sure about that?....and you Manuel Kasko?..you know theres still reason that you would use both even if it made no

more power...not all people just drive around the streets in there skylines you know, theres many forms of motorsport out there...

Don't wait, it s a good system. I am wrapped in mine - going to keep using it in my RB30 when i get it happening as well. I've got my trigger setings at 6/10 and 50/70 and seems to work about right. I could lower the settings, but will check them out in summer first.
