Hi guys, I've recently started working for an ecommerce group buying site and I am keen to bring more motorsports to the front line and get more up there for the blokes/enthusiasts. I'm going to put together a few packages but one of these will be a few runs on a dyno, around both the Gold Coast and Brisbane. Just really want to give a good package that gives out accurate readings. Anyone got any recommendations of companies that A. are big enough to cope with a good few people and B. are a reputable company that give realistic instead of inflated dyno results?

Thanks for any responses and if anyone has any ideas of events or services that they would like to see up drop me a pm and I'll see if I can get them on board.

Cheers

Stevie

What is the incentive?

Anyone can ring a workshop pay $100 and have the car run up

I work for a marketing company and want to work out a deal with someone so that it will not be $100, more like half price. You know what I mean? Just looking to know who you guys would want to do the deal with. Someone legit and good.

I follow

But will be interesting if a busy workshop would be willing to take on such a concept. For them time is money And if they are only going to make say $30 for an hour or more work (Im assuming your company will take a cut) when the usual charge is say $100...

What would be the advertising medium?

As for recommending a workshop. Everyone will have a different opinion so I suggest lots of searching

i think that any workshop that is going to do discount dyno runs is probably going to give discount quality results. so in other words it will be a case of drive the car on, strap it down, quickly put the settings in, do the run, drive the car off and take money. so they probably wouldn't take as much time to get the settings on the dyno right (such as putting the intake temp sensor in the engine bay), etc. so readings wouldn't be quite as accurate as a full paid run.

The incentive for the workshop comes when you gather 20+ cars, many of them stock or with mild mods that don't require a tune. But the owner would love to know what kind of power it is making... Later on down the track (could be months away) they decide that they want to mod the car a bit more, and they take it to the workshop that they've been to before, to they guys that they've talked to who sounded like they knew their shit.
