Hi all, I have a quick question.

Every time I start my engine (93 R33 GTS25T) I get a huge amount of fuel vapor being expelled from the gas tank under the fuel flap, so much and heavy its visible from the top of the wheel arch to the roof line on a still day .

Car is in Queensland so the interior gets very hot in the days.

I have a very bad fuel consumption where a full tank of gas runs out at about 350km. Thats on highway and no hard driving at all....

No boost tap or AM BOV.

I have disconnected the carbon filter in the hope it might have been blocked and pressurizing back in but its still happening.

Cleaned the throttle body and AAC sensor.

Any one have any Ideas on the Fuel venting??

Regards

LR33

Have a read of this - clicky

Then check to see whether your fuel filler neck is sealed.

Have you ever noticed fuel down the side of your car after spirited driving with a full tank ?

Do you get the pssshhh sound when you take the cap off ?

Its a pretty common problem that the neck isn't sealed properly
