Exedy clutches are relatively cheap and there is nothing wrong with them as said above the HHHDB is really strong and is what I use and no problems at other 300 but you would be able to use the cushion button with 250kw which is a bit more friendly on road driving of even HHDB will do. I had a exedy oem replacement and it was running 300kw and would only slip if you clutch kick 3rd or 4th so they are good clutches.

The guy I got the car off thinks it has a triple plate cushion already in it?

Possibly it's just seen to much and is on its way out.

How stiff is your clutch birds?

When DVS got in mine he said it was a real weird feel

lol @ triple plate cushion. I don't think that's even possible, but anyway...if you do have a triple plate it would not be giving up under ~250rwkw assuming clutch is in good condition. The only way it would is if you or the previous owner screwed it by slipping it too much in traffic (twin and triple plates need hard launches and no slips to live). Also, a clutch can just wear from use.

The bottom line is that, regardless of the clutch you have, you need a clutch that can handle 250ish and the cushion button or HHHDB will do that. My clutch is very easy on the leg, feels a bit heavier than a normal clutch and this is my daily driver so I wouldn't tolerate anything more. It will probably feel quite light compared to what it sounds like you've got now anyway.

Haha well I purchased the car not knowing anything about cars.

Now I have come to found when the guy said "ohh its tuned to 13psi as well"

He actually means he just turned the boost t up to 13psi lol.

My bet is that I f**ked it learning to drive a manual in it as the skyline was the first manual I have driven.

So its probably from word go been screaming for help
