car is making over 480hp atw was tuned with screamer pipe, getting it plumbed back in,why would this street car have NO bov? Some serious street cars dont, some do,due to turbo trying to back up on changes etc?? Any easily explained understanding would be appreciated, most say bov is best for turbo longevity....oh and im not interested in the noise or that sh*t just engine reliability answers, thanks

my car makes around 530rwhp, no bov.

i did it for ease of passing emissions, the sound doesnt bother me and hasnt given any issues with my turbo so far and its been running since 2009, though for a fair while only at 430hp.

if you dont like the noise install a bov, if you dont like the BOV sound dont install one.

this topic has also been done to death over the years.

Nothing wrong with running no bov you just get a bit of hesitation between high rpm gear changes. Also you will need your tune checked when your screemer is plumbed in also there is a possibility you will lose 30kw with it plumbed back in

so say i cant be fudged plumbing my bov back into the intake, i can block the bov off, therefore no more air bleeds to atmo = legal?

I have a fancy pants Fluidampr harmonic balancer on order, the 2.5 engine uses the OEM 2.0 balancer off the old motor as the 2.5 balancer is a larger unit and doesn't fit clearance wise, which, because the two engines have different harmonics, isn't optimal, the OEM balancer does the job, but as the gear driven balancer in the bottom end is removed to fit a RWD application there is slightly more vibration, the Fluidampr helps with the harmonics that the gear driven balancer once took care of,  basically makes life easier on the oil pump and bearings when thrashing it around Hopefully the weather gets better soon because I'm keen for some cruising around, and currently, with the winds and storms we are getting, the amount of detritus being blown around from trees on the road isn't something I want to be driving around in
