Hi guys,

Just a quick one.

Since I changed over to iPrimus I've noticed that when I load up SAU forums I get logged in as someone else automatically.

Just then (within 5 mintutes) I was logged in as 2 different people and then finally myself.

I'd say that we're all on iPrimus, can something be done about this at all??? I know it's something about the our IP addresses and the database thinking we're someone else.

The only reason it concerns me is cause I've been PM'd by people buying stuff off me, and they have given me their addresses, and I don't want their addresses to be made semi public (if you know what I mean).

Thanks guys, your doing a great job :uh-huh: :uh-huh:

Yepp, spot on

I could be right of the mark here, but I think the database looks at the first 3 sets of numbers in the IP address (eg. 203.198.54....) by default to figure out who the person is.

But I'm not sure if it's possible to make it look at the full IP address (eg 203.198.54.23).

happened to me too, but its only on the front page, i really dont think that you could access anyone elses pm's. Once your logged on it would use your cookies, so without the other guys password i doubt you could see their settings, pm's, and that they could see yours.

Make sense? didnt think so

BTW, ip address are dynamic, which means you never have the same one consecutively, you are allocated a new one everytime you log on, so it would have to be the first couple of numbers.

iprimus is acting weird latley,

I could be way off base too though LOL:lol:

Jay.

Spoke to tech support about an unrelated problem just now, and i asked him about this thing with logging on under someone elses name. The same thing was happening with yahoo games for me.

What it looks like is if you are using a proxy server, as i just started to, anypages any iprimus user looks at is stored on iprimus's server in their cache. If someone goe and looks at the same page, it loads off their cache instead of off SAU server.

They were going to have a look at it anyway, if it keeps happening just set your browser to connect direct to the internet, instead of through the iprimus proxy server.

Now another problem has popped up, has to do with the web address that the smily icons come from, freaking the loading of SAU right up.
