Its a car lads. A pain in the butt to sort it all out, but a new opportunity to do something really special with a 35 as well :)

You go motor racing - expect this can happen - and factor it in. It does to everyone eventually.

Remember - no matter how fast or slow you are, safety gear can make all the difference. Personally I wont be doing that hill again without a full cage, suit, and full face helmet. Thankfully all of the safety gear in the R35 worked perfectly during the accident and allowed the driver to get out of the car before it went up. If the same had happened to my uncaged Subaru (we both cross the line at about the same speed), I wouldnt be here to write this to you. Keep it in mind, and take it seriously.

Thanks for the kind words regardless :)

What a great weekend, overshadowed by a very sobering accident involving Keir and the R35. Was relieved to hear he was ok, as Martin said showing the importance of proper safety gear on the track. It was very difficult to head up the hill immediately after this, it consumes your thoughts and makes it very hard to focus.

On a happier note - well done to Willall! Fielding 5 of the top 6 shootout then with 2 podiums to boot!! Anyone wanting supreme tuning and assistance in race prep go and see Martin and the boys!! :-)

Was a very devastating site seeing the aftermath. Makes you think that building a race car is worth it, when you can lose it so fast, but I guess that's motorsport.

All the best to kier and the willall guys.

Its actually a normal part of racing. You want to go fast, its going to happen at some point. The skill is in minimising how much damage - YOU - get.

Like all forms of motorsport, if you arent prepared to put the car on the line, then take a second thought before proceeding to the line. Seriously, think hard about it. The damage would have been far less if there was a fire station near the incident.

Star of the show really was Blue32 Bartlett though....and he just may be the unofficial 1st place AWD winner overall...

He was on a different level to most all weekend

That car never ceases to amaze me. Fly Boy is cool as a cucumber every time :P
