Do Skylines have CV joints or something similar?

Recommended Posts

Ive been thinking about this problem with both GTS-t's and GT-R's. with GTS-t's its a rear wheel drive with four wheel steering so the wheels that are driving are also steering somewhat. similar with the GT-R's they would have a setup on both the front and rear since they are 4wd some of the time and steering with all four wheels. ive never come across this before untill i was asked about it... what mechanism does it use to drive the wheels and steer them? ive never heard anyone talk about CV joints or anything similar before so im asking.

thanks for your help guys much appreciated.

The HICAS system on the Skylines only moves the rear wheels a couple of degrees in either direction. It only activates over 80 Kph when exiting corners hard. In the R32 it is hydraulic and the R33 Electronic controlled by a separate computer in the boot. There are no CV joints or similar
