As a nearly extinct Stagea owner (M35 kind cause they are really different) I think we should go back 3 years and have 2 completely separate sections.

That way people won't feel so inferior if C34 owners or M35 owners are posting more..

Oh... that's right we went through this 3 years ago.. and SAU (who owns this Forum) said they wanted all Stagea owners together.

I guess the powers that be have spoken.

(No bananas here .... just a euro trash driver now)

we better close the whole of skylines aust down coz its all been done before ....... quick joke what happens when one m35 driver slams on the brakes you have to remove 5 others from up his ass seriously boys what was the quote live a little this is why there needs to be seperate threads point closed

If you are going to keep upsetting the owners of other models of stagea (eg M35 260) you will get more than a separate thread, believe me.

What is your issue again? Nothing to get worked up about surely. *hugs*

but the c34 is different to the skylines too, dont forget. just cause some idiot says i just threw on a turbo and a power fc, thats just shit same old, same as if someone says it about a vq25. great fkn deal.

thing is how about look i have installed custom gauge setup in my dashboard that is c34 stagea specific, or look i just got some carbon fiber lips made up for my "not r34" stagea.

just cause it has a damn engine in common with the skyline, dont mean its the same damn car.

it would be good having 2 separate threads. cause frankly i dont care for a grandmas m35 that someone just changed shit on their xanavi screen or cruise control issues.

so bring on the c34 mods

^^lol, you forget the fog lamps or driving lights or daytime running led's, i don't even look in the what have you done to your stagea thread anymore, puts me to sleep,

what if you make a "what perfromance mods have your done to your stagea lately for both C35's and M35's, and sticky it?

cheers

darren

I like this.

But srsly , if threads are going to be locked because of pre-existing related threads, then more should be closed and locked more often.

You can scroll through the first 2-3 pages of the stagea forum and lock the suspension, exhaust, brake etc threads because they're already stickied or have an active thread.

The differences between the M's and C's can be significant, and personally I wouldnt mind seeing a separate threads.

Dear Santa,

I think it would be easier for both C34 and M35 to have seperate threads. It seems both parties have concerns.

I've read that some M35 owners see us (the C34'ers) as doing the same stuff over and over. Surely that must frustrate the M35 owners. If we had a seperate section, they wouldn't have to read our glitch in the matrix.

I've also read that some of us (the C34'ers), see the M35 owners as only doing "accessory mods". Obviously this isn't true but it's infuriating the C34 crowd and they can't stand trawling through it. Seperate threads = ftw ?

We are people of curiosity, interest and knowledge. For most of us, to post something up - even if it has been done before - is to show what "insert car owner" has done to "insert car owner"'s ride. We are either proud of what we have done / are sharing our experiences or like to hear feedback from other's who HAVE done the same mod.

My opinion - I do like the fact that both cars are under the same roof, so to speak. Because even though i don't own an M35, I still read almost every post just for knowledge and idea's. And I don't care for easy. It's overrated

PS. What's gonna happen if there's ever another stagea cruise ?? Will it be the highschool party where the cool kids don't mix with the footballers and you keep to yourselves ? ah dear. We both drive nissan right ?

PPS. Milk and cookies in usual spot.

I really don't care. I think separate sections is not going to happen- from an admin point of view, this site is trying to downsize sections rather than expand last time I heard something mentioned about it.

I always get excited when I see a "Series 2 or S2" post cause I think it might be a Series 2 M35, but most of the time it turns out to be a C34- I don't mind, I still read it.

It all boils down to the members- if you guys want to see more C34 performance mods, then get posting them up! Nobody is going to say stop posting your mods up! On the other hand, if M35 owners are posting their mods up, then don't bother them about it- even if it is electronics. Whos fault is it that you don't see enough mods going on?

We're not immune to the people that just jump in and create a thread about "hey I want to know what XYZ to buy" or "I want more power...". It happens across teh internets- so we just need to be nice, and tell them that they can search, and offer some advice. We don't want to look like a pack of arseholes- C34 or M35 owners.

sorry if ppl get so easily upset not my intention at all i was merly offering an opinion that it would be interesting to have a seperate thread. if you read back its been a few of you guys that have made so called little smart quips about cars ,maturity and car builds ive just replied so dont go pointing the finger at me and throwing threats around (what did that actually mean any way if ya say something just say it) it looks like there is a bit of support for dream 15s idea and as this is a public forum it is governed by the ppl . i have no bad blood with any diffrent type of car or model i have owned and modded my fair share of every thing.

but the c34 is different to the skylines too, dont forget. just cause some idiot says i just threw on a turbo and a power fc, thats just shit same old, same as if someone says it about a vq25. great fkn deal.

Bronx wins. I hate having to read through all the M35 stuff when it is completely useless information to me being a C34 owner. So much so that I CBF reading the "What have you done to your stagea" thread!

Oh good god, have I really opened up this can of worms?

Seriously?

Typical bloody shit stirrer. We all know you just wanted to liven up the section :P

For M35 guys, if you don't want to read about C34 stuff there is another forum.

For C34 guys, if you don't want to read about M35 stuff, quit complaining and make your own forum.

For those of us that like to read about and can appreciate both, can the rest of you please STFU about this BS?

I do have a semi related question to this "issue" though, why is there a "V-series Skyline" section?

I do have a semi related question to this "issue" though, why is there a "V-series Skyline" section?

Because, umm, perhaps the V-Series guy have so much performance related information to discuss.

There was talk around of giving those guys a separate section for both 2 door & 4 door variants, auto & manual, & further breaking it up to individual years of manufacture.

It seems sifting through all the cosmetic mods to find the exact colour to wrap your gizmo is proving to arduous.

IMO that's a worthwhile improvement to SAU, but I wouldn't like to see the Stageas separated as we have too much in common.

:P

    • Update time!  The JZX110 had some maintenance needing to be done, so a lot of the seals with replaced to fix some oil leaks. Also used this opportunity to whack on a front mount that I'd bought some time ago.  I also finally got the rear lip painted and fitted.  I then got the exhaust done. It's just a catback for now. Custom made 3" stainless with a turn down. I could have a tip coming out, but it will require cutting the rear lip and possibly the bumper itself. So far I do like and it's made the car a little more zippy.  Close out with some nice pictures of the cars and a sneak peek of what's next.

    • Just something I found searching for more info on Emotion R, apparently the ECR33 Skyline GTS25t was either originally black, or there were two of them, the black one being the original demo car, then building a white one which was part of the 1997-onwards (to at least 2008!) Cockpit Tatebayashi Tokyo Auto Salon booth demo cars. It appears that Emotion R closed down in 2008 and was declared bankrupt in 2010: http://bank-db.com/hasan/208365. I used to love doing this 20 years ago on SAU and got a bit nostalgic for a moment... 😅
