hi guys,

i was recently lookin up turbo kits for my r34 gtt to upgrade. i found a website selling a kit for $3500 for 600hp . I however closed the website :S ... does anyone know what turbo this would have been?

Unless you had firefox set to private browsing because you were also searching for "blowers" at the time, I don't see why you couldn't hit ctrl + h

Surely your search on ebay will just be in history?

Im an IT Technician, if that was an option i would have done it. however i have optimised my computer to clear all cache files and cookies etc on close.

I am not a mechanic and know limited about cars, i have been browsing tonight and the turbos ive found have been 300 hp for 3k and anything above has been 5k so not sure what turbo it was i was looking at.

Precision Billet turbo (about $1000), manifold to suit (read the "steam pipe" thread in this area), then you'll need some other pipework like dump pipe and intake - thats of course given that you've got the rest already done to your car to make it work like FMIC, ECU, fuel system, clutch etc

$6k on a computer? Are you serious. The PC you spent $6k on will be worth $2k 6 months after you've bought it...

Yes i deal with computers a bit too, they are the biggest depreciating things on the earth!

A good starting point will be

GTX3582R or the T04Z .82 rear housing is probably ideal

$1500 Steam pipe manifold. Garage 7 Item is one of the best

New dump pipe and large exhaust system

You may possibly need cams

If your engine setup is currently near stock then dont forget you'll need

Supporting fuel system (Fuel pumps etc) (98 or E85 dependant)

Injectors to suit

Intercooler

Z32 AFM although this will most likely not support anything above 500-550HP

Nistune ECU = Tune or go for a full plug in ECU such as a Haltech

The list just goes on.

To achieve 600 rwhp doing it correctly you might want to have a much larger budget that $3,500. That $6k you spent on your depreciating computer would have paid for most of your 600HP goal...

wow are you seriously saying that an 'IT Technician' is recommending having history off and clearing the cache on your browser cause he is scared of what might happen to his computer... really???..

anyways... about this 600hp turbo...

have you heard of google?

cause the first 2 pages are loaded with '600hp turbo for rb25' results

some of which come from hypergear

Im guessing you dont know what your getting yourself into car wise yeah....

Yes 6K depreciates fast, yes it would have paid for soo much stuff for the car or other things but its my passion, people like cars, sports, antiques.. all sorts of stuff they sink their money into. Computers is my thing. I'm paranoid about security and performance on my system. I clear cache of my system (not just internet settings), defrag the hard drive, perform health checks and diagnostics on a regular basis. it's what im into.

My budget is not just 3500, i just saw a kit for that and wouldnt spend extra for the same thing i can do for cheaper. i currently have a new fuel system installed (not sure what it is off the top of my head) and last week got a haltech PS2000 ECU installed.

Not looking to do the install myself as i know minimum about cars, i am paying for others to install all of this.

really...no PFC even

..I know adaptronic have just released one....

Damn another free plug, I should be getting paid for this..

He meant Haltech Dude...

Vipec, Link, Nistune and PFC are all plug in but Haltech dont offer a PnP unit as they cant get a hold of the plugs etc..... Stupid design from Nissan by the sounds of it......

I don't know why I am the first to say it, but 600hp is actually a hard goal to pursue. It's better if you consider how many RWKW you want, based on others results and feedback on this thread and go from there. Buying a 600hp kit when the feedback of a 250rwkw turbo suits your goals is going to end in disappointment and heartache.

Furthermore at that level you should definitely avoid a 'turbo kit' of any sort unless you know EXACTLY what parts are used AND those are the ones you intended to use.

It's actually incomparable to building computers, but you can consider picking one wrong part to be like trying to put DDR3 based ram and GFX into a an old socket A mother board/cpu combo. Lots of cool bits, no back bone to make it all work in harmony.

600hp is 350rwkw. 600whp is 450rwkw. Make sure you know which one you want..... 450rwkw is $30k in mods that will always break your heart, until you give up and pay a better shop another 20k to fix it.
