Hey Guys

Need some advice

Long story short, a guy reversed into my parked car, caused pretty major damage on the front end bumper.

Have a witness who wrote a note and put it on my car with details of number plate and he has photos he will email to me.

I park in front of a client i work for on Tuesdays and i being in IT i went through the CCTV footage and low and behold, i got it on camera.

Car hit my car, pushed my car about 30 cm then drove off ........

Now....the crap part....i dont have insurance on my car (r34)....( stupid i know but i cant afford it :(....)

Every is saying file police report, now i have done that and they are comming back saying it has to be over 800 dollars worth of damage for them to proceed.

Anyone have any idea if its worth proceeding ie would it be over 800 to replace a front bumper + fitting , the bumper cant be repaired as far as i can see....unless they use a shit load of fibreglass....

and if i do go get a qoute, who do i goto, im north of the river.

Any ideas?

if he hit you that hard and drove off and your fiberglass bumper is cracked then your reinforment bar might also be damaged hense it would also need replacing. If thats the case then it will most likely be 800 or a bit over including labour costs =) some panel beaters charge an arm and a leg for repairs just go to a few trusted panel guys and get a few quotes.

Btw as far as i know you dont need insurance the guy who hit you does as he will be repairing your car and his insurance will be paying for the damages!

Any light or grill damage?Factory front bar from nissan + reo bar from nissan + fit and paint is going to be over $1k.

If you get it patched up you probably wont hit the $800 mark so aim for new replacement parts.

Just take the car to a couple of panel and paint shops, they will be more than happy enough to give you a quote.

Its not a factory front bar, its a custom bar of some sort ( never seen what it looks like before, but its ugly :P ).

Whats a place that rips you off north of the river lol?
