Bosch Fuel Pumps

Hey guys,

Just a quick question? Whats the difference between a bosch 044 and 040 fuel pumps?

Probably a totally noob question, so I'll just sit here quietly lol

The 040 is a 225lph pump, while the 044 is a 330lph pump. So the 040 can support 520bhp @ 73.5psi, while the 044 can support 730bhp @ 73.5psi.

The 040 is also an in-tank pump, while the 044 is designed to sit in-line.

The significant difference apart from flow (and I would take after market figures with a grain of salt) is that the 040 has an open end (ie mesh style flat bottom the 044 has a threaded fitting on the bottom.

Both can be mounted in-tank but the 044 needs a sock attached.

I have run a bosch 984 pump intank with 12mm hose to connect the factory sock.

What do nismo pumps flow? And any idea on stock gtr pump?
