What's wrong with the meter?

I have an r33 and the fuel gauge always says Full right up until i have about 100km left then it shoots down really fast... so i really have no idea how much feul i have left.

NE ideas what could be wrong?

why dont you try to flush the tank, might be a lot of siht in it and clogging it up,might be an option.

i dunno man most tanks have a screw i think ive never done it personally but a mechnic might be able to help you

You can do it your self...

Simple description:

Open the fuel tank from the boot...

Place sender back on metal brackets on top of tank...

Close tank...

Try a search if you want it explained further... It's been covered before...

as ASH said really dont even scrape metal 2gether when near an open tank i almost burned down my old commodore along wid me

It could just be the float sticking, but either way you have to get to the fuel sender to find out.

Mine sticks at full for the first 80kms or so, then drops to around 7/8.

i have the same problem. i get about 200km while its stuck on full, then it goes down quickly for another 200km. i just use my trip meter instead of the fuel guage, and also the fuel light is a good indication of fuel being low.
