Does anyone know the name of the front bumper on my car? I need a new one because the bumper on there know is basically f&*$%. It is cracked badly and I am told will probably crack again if repaired. I really like the look of the bumper but its going to be hard to find another when I don’t know what I’m looking for :) So if anyone knows the name of this bar I would appreciate it!

850 fitted and painted?

The bomex front bar i want for my 32 is going to cost that much alone to get it over here, let alone paint and fitting...

Any1 know of places in AU that deal with bomex kits? UAS has a 'bomex' front bar for 500, though i don't think its original coz its not what bomex have on their site

Here's the site

http://www.bomexaero.com

and heres the kit i want, its the GTST kit.

http://www.bomexaero.com/prdnsr32u.htm

All up the cheapest i can find to get it sent over here, is for 2.5k.

Then comes paint, so say 1k, and then fitment, say 500?

Expensive kit...though ive *never* seen it in au, and it makes me bar up, so yes :)

sorry bout getting off the track, but i can't click on ur name like u can in SDU....

hey steve, just checked out ur site, awesome stuff!!! man i am in the EXACT same position as u were, dreaming of a skyline for the end of the year and just looking at pic after pic, and reading thru these forums, everything u said, exactly the same. I'm on my P's, and i'm 18 so insurance is going to be a bit of a prob.

The thing i want to ask u tho is that i know someone who imports skylines pretty much every year and does them up a bit and then sells them, making a bit of a profit. Now he's offered to help me import one all the way under my name, as he's helping me i don't have to pay him anything, but i haven't talked to any import companies yet, so i was wondering what it was like to dealing with "edge imports"?? I live pretty close to you, sandringham, so i'm a little bit up the bay and just wondering how u found edge?? Helpful?? Just trying to decide whether it is worth getting this guy i know to help me or whether just pay a bit for someone to do it for me....

By the way, if you don't mind me asking, how much did ur skyline end up being?? Auction+getting it out here?? I'm looking to spend around 16 - 16.5k but not sure if i could get a R33 GTS-t for that tho...

Hopefully i'll give ya a bell at the end of the year and we can go for a cruise, haven't seen any skylines around the sandi/hampton/brighton/beaumaris/black rock area. Maybe i should have gone a little further to parkdale to see a couple of

fine examples!! :)

p.s. my email is [email protected] (as to not get off the track of this thread)

Hi SS8_Gohan,

Glad you liked the site :) Both Dent and I went through UPI (Ultimate Performance Imports). They are in Moorabbin and I would recommend you use their services! However, if you do know someone that will help you all the way for free then that is going to be hard to beat. But will this guy comply the car and all that crap for you?

I personally do not know much about cars (I just like to drive them), so when importing a Skyline (which is my first car) I did not really know how to go about it. Lucky for me Dent was also looking at getting a car and he had a lot more experience.

Anyway, we went to UPI and spoke to Dean who then did the rest. Dean is a helpful guy and pretty much took care of the whole thing for me. I just had to sign the odd paper here and there. Well it will be a difficult decision either way but its worth paying to insure that it is all being taken care of I recon.

I had a few problems with my GTS-t on arrival but Dean sorted them all out for me ... cost me a few more $$$ but she runs well now ;) I got the car for $12500 in Japan and it cost me another $7500 to get it to Australia, complied and on the road. Sadly, I needed a new clutch, suspension and there are quite a few scratches that still need to be fixed. But all is well because I scored a sun roof, nice rims, good rubber, big exhaust, great body kit, monster tacho, and nicely tinted windows :) All up I was happy with the car!
