Hi guys I putting a 25 into a VL and just want to know if I have a auto motor and ecu or manual.... I know the motor has a manual box on it but I was looking at a mate S2 R33 auto skyline and he has the same T/B as mine.... anyway I just want to know what the top plug is for... could it be for the kick down for the auto??

ok so is the top plug for the auto??? like i said i'm putting this in a VL so is it needed as it is manual?? I unpin'd the 3 wires that go to the top plug and it still runs and revs fine. so i'm starting to think its for the auto.. and the new cars kick down system is all about throttle position. I has a S1 R33 auto for about 3 months and yeah the second plug was used and when I had my S1.5 manual it was not used.

You need both plugs. One plug is for digital signals (Throttle fully closed and throttle fully open) and one plug is for analogue 0-5V signal. (0-100% throttle).

Only way to tell is by looking at the rest of the wiring loom and the ECU code.

ok we I have striped the wiring and all 3 of them wires go to the big white dash plug... if I remember right there is a switch under the throttle pedal??? that would tell it if is full throttle yeah?? with out them 3 wires it still starts and runs fine. can some one give me a pin out of the throttle body?? that way i might be able to find where they should be going.
