boostn0199
shim it or weld it Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/397518-lazy-r33-gtst-diff/#findComment-6311822 Share on other sites
mad082
shim will only work for a little while. weld or new diff are the only solutions Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/397518-lazy-r33-gtst-diff/#findComment-6312239 Share on other sites
drunkn snail
how long does shimming it actually work for a normal street driven car compared to a track only car Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/397518-lazy-r33-gtst-diff/#findComment-6315461 Share on other sites
RB25 SKYLINE
i put engine flush in my diff and ran it for 2000ks then dumped it and put new oil in and it worked well.it cleans the grime off the clutch packs and helps them to lock up again ive done this to a whole list of cars and works everytime Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/397518-lazy-r33-gtst-diff/#findComment-6315548 Share on other sites
mad082
r33 diffs (except for maybe the rare active diff) are a viscous diff. they have no clutch packs. changing the oil in the diff, or putting an engine flush in there won't have any effect on how the viscous coupling works. it will clean out the diff housing and gears, but won't have any effect on the drive effect of the LSD.
