g'day

ive searched round the net and found many people asking the same question but little info about it.

Has anyone here relocated the battery of an r32 skyline into the boot ?

I want to move it there so i can make a big custom alloy oil catch tank and water tank.

I am just wondering what kind of cables should i use to extend the current cables to the boot ?

Is it as simple as that - just extending the red/black cables currently in the car to the boot ? i can make a battery box to hold the battery in the boot nice and secure.

Im assuming the cables should be run under the car...

very interested to do it asap

cheers

I had my local car stereo shop do it.

I'll ask tomorrow and post here.

Worked out well and made room for something similar to what you want to do.

You can buy a Marine Battery box to put your battery in and run a vent from the box through the base.

In the ACT they dont allow even sealed batterys (Optima Yellow top) to not be vented.

hey mate, it'd be very helpful if you could find out exactly what they used to run the cables to the boot, wether they just extended the current red/black cables all the way to the boot or if they done somthing different, and what sort of cable they used.

cheers
