Spunky Munky
Hi guys, my braking lights have blown and everything time I change the fuse (10A), it just blows again. Please advise how do I fix this issue? Also, my front speakers have stopped working but my stereo is fine and oddly my rear speaks are working. Would it be wiring or blown fuse? Please help. mad082
there will be a short in the wiring somewhere. or there is a small chance your alternator is overcharging, which isn't a good thing Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/397743-braking-lights-out-what-wattage-fuse-to-use/#findComment-6314646 Share on other sites

ZacZerbst
no it wouldnt help. it may stop the fuse blowing but will then cause something else fail. worse case it will melt the wires causing a fire and destrotlying your car. you need to find the problem and repair it or take it to someone that can. mad082
yeah definitely find the problem rather than trying to mask the problem. might take a little bit of dicking around to find, but in the long run that's better than frying other electrics in the car, or a possible fire like mentioned above. 89CAL
Get the multimeter out and start checking everything. Check you dont have a short to ground or a short to another wire/circuit. If you have changed/added anything then check the circuits around where you've done that for any shorts etc. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/397743-braking-lights-out-what-wattage-fuse-to-use/#findComment-6315391 Share on other sites
